A little about yourself? 

Craig Burkley is currently serving dual roles within the NeighborWorks® structure in Pennsylvania.  As the Chief Operating and Financial Officer for NeighborWorks® Western Pennsylvania (formerly Neighborhood Housing Services, Inc (NHS) and Director of the NeighborWorks® Association of Pennsylvania. 

Prior to joining NHS in 2007, Mr. Burkley held a real estate management position with Pennrose Properties Incorporated (PPI) where he coordinated numerous for-sale and rental services in Pittsburgh’s first “planned community”, Summerset at Frick Park.  Before his employment with PPI, Burkley held the position(s) of Director of Occupancy and Mixed-Finance Operations Manager at the Housing Authority City of Pittsburgh where he focused much of his time on helping low to moderate income families in and around Pittsburgh through real estate development and supportive services. 

Mr. Burkley currently serves as the Chairman of the Board for the Pennsylvania Home Lending Collaborative Incorporated and is a previous board member/Treasurer of the Housing Alliance of Pennsylvania.

A native of western Pennsylvania, Mr. Burkley has Bachelor of Science degree in Business Management with minors in accounting and finance from Indiana University of Pennsylvania and a Master of Science in Taxation Law from Robert Morris University.

One thing you don’t like? 

Indecisiveness.

What do you do outside of work to have fun or relax? 

Hunting, fishing, motorcycling and water sports.

What do you do at NeighborWorks Western Pennsylvania? 

My primary focus is on the overall operations, business functions, HR and fiscal management of the organization.

What is the one thing you wish first time homebuyers knew? 

They should call us BEFORE starting their home search process.
